Fried crumbly insect is probably not a very good association here.
ReplyLeaving besides the name, the concept looks very well, i've seen a lady bird cake it was looking pretty well, especially the colors, so i think that at some point you might try some to bring more joy to this. Otherwise i like the way it looks now, very nice!
Replyit's a nice idea, but i think the little bits coming out of the rear of the insect is odd (insect poop?) I would also have the split in the wings start at the center of the bug, not at the head, that way it resembles more of a cake slice.
